  Course Description: This course focuses on the foundational aspects and history of reflexology, offering an introduction to the practice. Throughout the course, you will explore what reflexology entails, including its origins and evolution over time. You will learn how to perform Reflex Zone Routines for both the feet and hands, which are integral to this healing practice. Additionally, the course will cover how traditional Chinese medicine, including concepts such as meridians and energy flow, plays a key role in reflexology.
  
  You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of the various health benefits of reflexology, such as stress reduction, improved circulation, and the relief of pain or tension throughout the body. By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped with the basic knowledge of reflexology and enhance your understanding of this holistic therapy.
  
  Goal: To learn about the essential aspects of reflexology and who uses it.
- Course Objectives
  
  Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to master the following objectives with a minimum of 70% accuracy:
  
  Define the term "reflexology"
  
  List several pioneers in the field of Reflexology
  
  Define "Qi" and "Qi Flow"
  
  Explain the origin of the word and symbol for "Qi"
  
  List the Yin and Yang properties, as well as Corresponding organs of arms and legs
  
  Creation of the 12 meridians
  
  Differentiate between the Yin and Yang properties and what organs they influence
  
  Identify the 12 meridians, the Chinese names, the Arm/Leg positions, the Yin/Yang properties
  
  List specific pathways of Yin and Yang properties
  
  Identify times of activity of each meridian and its corresponding organ
  
  List the Yin and Yang pairs
  
  List the five elements and their functions
  
  List the six meridians, corresponding organs, and functions as represented in the feet
  
  Be able to identify specific points on several different Reflexology charts
  
  List the main methods of Reflexology, their founders, time-line, and purpose
  
  List different charts and products used in the field of Reflexology

  You have 365 days from the purchase date to complete the Course before it expires; however, if your renewal is due before this date, you must complete this Course before your renewal date. If you do not complete the Course upon expiration, you must purchase an “extension.” Otherwise, you forfeit your Course and will have to repurchase it. Extensions are 75% of posted prices for six more months of Access. You may do this within your account under “Extend Expiration” within 90 days of the expiration. Upon successful completion and/or expiration of the Course, you will not have Access to the Course unless it is extended or purchased again.

  Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Hampshire, South Carolina & Tennessee:
  
  For actively Licensed Massage Therapists, we submit credits for each accepted Course directly to your Board in these specific states; however, this submission is made for those who have entered their License Number with the Associated States listed within their account before taking an exam. For Florida, this Course is not accepted in the category “Live: Relevant to and Focus on Massage Therapy Techniques” and will be accepted either in the general category or the mandatory categories such as Ethics, Medical Errors, FL Laws, or Human Trafficking (depending upon the Course).
  
  Louisiana:
  
  For actively licensed Massage Therapists who have their license number and Louisiana selected and identified within their account, we will submit credits to LA for each approved Course. Louisiana Therapists Notice: Visit www.cemassage.com/la to view our current list of approved Courses before taking an exam (as Course listings and approvals can change); no exchanges or refunds will be granted. Only Courses on our LA webpage with an LCEU number are approved for LA. We do not submit credit for Courses not approved by Louisiana.
