      Course Description: This course is all about reflexology and the basics. In this course you will learn what Reflexology is, how traditional chinese medicine is incorporated and the benefits of receiving reflexology.

      Goal: To learn about the basic aspects of relflexology and who uses it.

    • Course Objectives

      These objectives are written in observable, measurable terms, and are assessed for mastery via written assessment at the conclusion of the course. A time-frame for completion is included.

      Upon completion of this course, with minimum accuracy of 70%, students will be able to:

      Define the term “reflexology” – (15 min.)

      List several pioneers in the field of Reflexology – (60 min.)

      Define “Qi” and “Qi Flow” – (15 min.)

      Explain the origin of the word and symbol for “Qi” – (15 min.)

      List the Yin and Yang properties, as well as, - (60 min.)

      Corresponding organs of arms and legs

      Creation of the 12 meridians

      Differentiate between the Yin and Yang properties and what organs they influence – (60 min)

      Identify the 12 meridians, the Chinese names, the Arm/Leg positions, the Yin/Yang properties – (60 min)

      List specific pathways of Yin and Yang properties (60 min)

      Identify times of activity of each meridian and its corresponding organ (60 min)

      List the Yin and Yang pairs (30 min)

      List the 5 elements and their functions (30 min)

      List the 6 meridians, corresponding organs, and functions as represented in the feet (60 min)

      Be able to identify specific points on several different Reflexology charts (60 min)

      List the main methods of reflexology, their founders, time-line and purpose (75 min)

      List different charts and products used in the field of reflexology (30 min)

      List the benefits of reflexology and how they are best achieved (60 min)

      Describe the location and course offerings of several prominent Reflexology schools (60 min)
