FAQ

Massage Continuing Education Support

    • Are your courses entirely online?

      Yes, they are all online/downloadable. After you have purchased and signed up for an account, you will be able to access your course(s) in your account. You will be able to view your course, complete the test, and, if passed, you will receive your certificate to print out. All tests are PASS/FAIL. No shipments and no Hassle. Not only is it completely online, but you can check out with our secure, one-page checkout.  Not only are our courses 100% online, but you also may Save Your Exam and come back at a later time!

    • Will you submit credits to my state board or certification renewal?
      It is your responsibility to submit documentation to the appropriate board for the majority of states and organizations. Usually, when renewing your massage license or certification, during the renewal process, they will have specifications on how to submit your CE’s. 
       
      Florida, Georgia, South Carolina & Tennessee: For licensed Massage Therapists who have their license number with the associated state listed within their account prior to taking an exam, we submit credits for each accepted course directly to your board.
       
      Louisiana: For licensed Massage Therapists who have their license number and Louisiana selected within their account, we submit credits to LA for each approved course. Louisiana therapists – Please visit www.cemassage.com/la to view our current list of approved courses PRIOR to taking an exam (as course listings can change); no exchanges or refunds will be granted. Only courses that appear on our LA webpage with an LCEU number are approved for LA. We do not submit credit for courses not approved by Louisiana.
       
      For all other states, entities, and board certification, it is your responsibility to submit credits to your appropriate licensing/certification board for each accepted course by your board. While we do our best to provide current and accurate information, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure acceptance. Generally, you will have to submit the certificates during the renewal process or upon being audited. Your certificates are always available inside your account. We do not guarantee approval for each course for each state. NOT all courses are approved, even if we are approved directly by the state (our provider numbers will appear on each certificate regardless of approval). Note: This list is subject to change.
       
    • Is there an expiration or time limit on courses purchased?

      Yes, you have one year (365 days) from the purchase date to complete exams; however, you may purchase an extension of time upon the expiration of the course. You can do this within your account under the tab 'Extend Expiration' within 60 days of expiration.

    • What happens if I fail a test?

      Our tests are PASS/FAIL. If you fail an exam, you will have two more opportunities to complete the test again free of charge. You will need to contact us by phone or email so we may reset your exam during regular business hours. We will reset it the next business day. If you fail after this attempt, you will need to re-purchase the exam again. If you read and study the material, you should have no problem passing.

    • Are you approved for my state?

      It depends. We are approved for the majority of the states due to the fact that we are nationally approved, and we are board-approved in states such as, but not limited to, New York, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Illinois, Louisiana, Washington DC, and North Dakota. To find out, go to our Renewal Info tab at the top of this website page. It will show you the state-renewal requirements that you need.  Just click on the state that you are licensed in. Once you are on that page, you can see if our hours would be accepted for your state. NOTE: Not all of our courses are approved for every state. We do our best to provide a guide, but please review your state laws prior to purchasing to verify a subject matters' acceptance. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call us.

    • Are you NCBTMB Approved?

      Yes, we are. NCBTMB Approved Provider Number 451576-11. My CE National is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. All of our courses are approved with the NCBTMB, with the exception of our 1 hr Human Trafficking course.

    • Do you have any promo/coupons or specials available?

    • May I place an order over the Phone?

      For phone orders- Call 855-586-9053. Our regular business hours are Monday-Friday from 10 am to 6 pm ET, excluding major holidays (see our contact us page for dates closed).

    • How does online testing work?
      Online testing is very simple and allows you to work at your own pace without waiting for others. You will receive your certificate immediately after successfully completing and passing the online exam.
       
      After you have purchased, you will log in to your account on http://www.cemassage.com.
       
      ---To access your course material go to "My Courses" and click on "Open Course" to the right of the Course you are interested in studying.
      ---To take an exam, go to "My Exams" and click on the "Access Exam" to begin your exam.
       
      During the exam, you may pause and save your exam. The Test is PASS/FAIL. This is considered an "Open Book" exam. After you pass the exam, go to "My Certificates," where you can print your certificate at any time.
       
    • Is the online exam timed?

      No, it is not. You even have the ability to save your exam while taking it. This means that you can come back at a later time to complete the exam.

    • How do I access my certificates?
      Certificates are stored within your account on http://cemassage.com.
      What you will want to do is first log in. Once logged in, click on "My Certificates" within your account. You will then be able to view and print your available certificate(s).
       
    • Do your courses come with any video?

      At this time, none of our courses are classified as video or audio courses; however, some courses may have additional video links. Also, none of our courses are mailed.

    • How long do you keep Student Records?

      Some entities require us to hold records for at least six years. All record information and privacy issues are covered under our Privacy Policy located elsewhere on this website. 

    • What are your test questions like?
      Our test questions are in multiple-choice format. This means that you will select the single correct answer. Here are a couple of example exam questions:
       
      Oils which increase ozone and negative ions halts _________.
      a. Regeneration
      b. Fermentation
      c. Bacterial growth
      d. Spore reduction
       
      or
       
      Dysfunction of the Mandible may refer pain to these places, EXCEPT FOR _____________.
