      Course Description: This course lists 25 different modalities, complete with the Top Ten Most Requested massage modalities and techniques. It describes the purpose of each modality, plus benefits and contraindications for each. There are pictures and visual aids to assist students who may not be familiar with certain modalities, showing what the techniques look like when being used on clients. It is a fabulous resource for therapists who are looking for many different methods to treat their clients.

      Describe the purpose of each of the aforementioned massage modalities

      List ailments helped by each modality

      Using the characteristics of each modality, list which modality (s) are appropriate for specific conditions

      Describe techniques that are unique to each specific modality

      Identify contraindications for each modality

      List the Top Ten Most Requested Massages

      Describe the characteristics of each modality that was directly influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine

      List the primary goal of each modality

      Identify which modalities require certification beyond massage school.

      Once ready to take the online exam, you will click '2- Take Exam’. Then click ‘Start’ next to your exam name.

      If you pass, you will see your certificate immediately.

      You have one year from purchase date to complete your exam(s). If you come close to the expiration date and need longer, you can purchase an extension of time of 6 months. You can purchase this within your account or by giving us a call.

      ---Louisiana Licensed Massage Therapists- We submit credit at least once a week to your Board for approved courses. Any courses taken that are not approved by LA will not be submitted. For a list of approved courses please go to our Louisiana page at www.cemassage.com/LA. The link to our states page is on the bottom of this site.

      ---Be sure to check your state and national organizations for information about renewal.

      ---For all states, you should search specifically for courses that you know are accepted for your state. This includes, but not limited to New York, North Dakota, Louisiana and Texas.
